This week was a good week
This weekend, i.e. tomorrow, my Tri partner Chris and me are taking to the lake to go swimming. It is my first open water swim of the season, my first swim as a newly minted TI’er and my first swim in a wetsuit. So do you think I’ll be able to sleep tonight?
I’ve had a great week exercise light on the running, heavy on the swimming and moderate on the cycling. I need to get more running miles under me but I’m mellow about the running right now.
I did a couple of great cardio workouts this week on the bike at the gym – that was awesome….really got my heart rate up.
But I am here today to give huge kudos to yoga. I’ve been dealing with stiffness a lot recently and decided it was time to go back to yoga in earnest. I am really great at stretching but find I don’t hold the stretches long enough or make them deep enough for real relief…yoga makes me better.
So, I did a session on Wednesday night. Thursday my limbs were limber again and I felt loose all day, until I did my bike ride last night and my swim this morning – now I’m slightly stiff again. I could do with Yoga twice a week.
Here’s what I did this past week:
Monday: Swim and Cardio bike work out
Tuesday: run
Wednesday: swim, cardio bike workout and yoga
Thursday: bike
Friday: swim
And tomorrow
Saturday: swim, bike and run!!!!
Sunday: probably a rest day

I just hope the life guard know his stuff...

YES!! YES!! I am still in. I have been working on my training, but not blogging as much about it. I am looking forward to it. I was near Sandy Hook for a wedding a few weeks ago and I was thinking about it a lot.

I can't imagine getting into a lake in Nova Scotia ever. Too much acidity from your NJ pollution wafting its way up here on the summer breezes.
